Survivor of Idaho murders asks a judge to keep her face blurred, saying harassment forced her to move nine times

Dylan Mortensen, 23, a University of Idaho roommate who encountered a masked man during the 2022 stabbing deaths of four students, has filed a court motion to prevent the release of police footage that could reveal her new identity. She testified for the prosecution against Bryan Kohberger, now serving four life sentences, but online conspiracy theorists have accused her of being the murderer.

Mortensen now uses an alias at work, for deliveries and when introducing herself to strangers, and says she avoids going anywhere alone.

According to her court filing, strangers and journalists have turned up at her family's homes and trailed relatives, while threatening notes continue to arrive.

The footage was ordered released last month after true-crime company EWU Media LLC sued Moscow city authorities to obtain the investigative recordings.
