Swansea Council axes a Magic Mike-style strip show for being 'too raunchy' without officially telling its headliner

William Parfitt, headliner of Magic Men Australia World Tour, found out the Swansea show was axed just one week before it was due to go ahead at The Brangwyn Hall — and was never officially notified by the venue or Swansea Council.

Parfitt says the explanation he eventually received was 'extremely vague', with references only to the show being 'too raunchy'.

Swansea Council apologised, saying it acted on 'concerns raised with us', but offered no further detail on who raised them.

Parfitt called it a 'first' for Magic Men Australia, saying hundreds of women who had already bought tickets were left disappointed.
