Syrian state media claims the Jordanian airstrikes killed seven civilians, while Amman insists the dead were 'terrorists'. Jordan says the targets were tied to Friday's attack on a Greek Orthodox Church in Karak, which wounded more than two dozen. The strikes followed Monday's arrest of three men in a dawn shootout in Karak. All three suspects were badly wounded, and no Jordanian officers were hurt.

King Abdullah II ordered authorities to respond with 'an iron fist'.

Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya said the trio 'put up fierce resistance'.

No group has claimed responsibility for the funeral massacre.
