Taylor Swift has made UK music history by becoming the first artist to score three number one singles in 2026, with 'Patient Zero' climbing to the top of the singles chart to earn her eighth UK number one overall. The 36-year-old also secured her fifth chart double as 'The Life Of A Showgirl' simultaneously returned to the top of the albums chart. Swift has now achieved a singles-and-albums chart double for five consecutive years since 2022.

'Patient Zero' follows 'Opalite' and Toy Story 5 track 'I Knew It, I Knew You' as Swift's three number ones this year alone.

The Encore edition of 'The Life Of A Showgirl' marks one year since the original release, which was the fastest-selling album in US history in its opening week.

London group Keo debuted at number two with 'Put A Smile On Me', also topping the record store and vinyl charts, while Nothing But Thieves landed a fourth straight top five album with 'Stray Dogs'.
