Teachers could be banned from Palestine badges as a review due today finds three in five Jewish pupils faced antisemitism
The review was set up after Jewish MP Damien Egan's visit to Bristol Brunel Academy was cancelled over pro-Palestinian protests, and the local NEU branch claimed victory. Sir David Bell's report, due before Parliament today, makes 27 recommendations. Ministers are expected to accept every one. Schools would have to treat antisemitism as a specific safeguarding risk rather than lumping it in with general racism.
Fewer than half of pupils surveyed believed antisemitism would be tackled if they reported it.
Antisemitic incidents in schools jumped 59 per cent to 178 in the first half of 2026.
Bell said: 'If you don't name it, you don't actually know what you're tackling.'
