Teen cyber whizz, 18, jailed for teaching Al Qaida how to take untraceable cryptocurrency donations

Yusuf Shah, an 18-year-old from Ilford, has been jailed for four years and two months at Kingston Crown Court for teaching Al Qaida supporters how to make untraceable cryptocurrency donations. Aged just 16, he wrote 'A Guide on Cybersecurity' after a Telegram contact said a senior Tehrik-e-Taliban official wanted one.
Convicted on five Terrorism Act counts after a five-week trial, Shah also faces a 10-year notification order.
Posing as a fellow extremist, Shah offered technical computing expertise to terror backers across the globe on Telegram.
'I would implore you to have conversations,' Flanagan told parents, urging them to be inquisitive about children's online lives.
