Texas executes man for triple murder during home invasion, marking state's fifth execution this year

LeJames Norman, 40, was put to death by lethal injection in Huntsville, Texas, for the 2005 fatal shootings of Samuel Roberts, Tiffani Peacock and Celso Lopez during a home invasion. Norman and an accomplice carried out the killings while searching for drugs. Meanwhile in Georgia, a judge issued a late-night stay halting the execution of Stacey Humphreys, 53, convicted of murdering two estate agents in 2003. State prosecutors are appealing the stay.
