The US Supreme Court rejected Ker'Sean Ramey's final appeal hours before his scheduled lethal injection in Huntsville, clearing the way for his execution. Ramey, 41, was convicted of capital murder for shooting Samuel Roberts, 24, Tiffani Peacock, 18, and Celso Lopez, 38, during a botched cocaine robbery in Edna, Texas. His co-killer LeJames Norman was put to death just ONE WEEK ago, also in Huntsville. Ramey would be the sixth person executed in Texas this year, with three more still scheduled.
Ramey and Norman believed cocaine was hidden in the victims' home — they found none, then killed all three.
Ramey's lawyers argued jurors never heard how he suffered childhood abuse and poverty, but prosecutors called the appeal 'meritless'.
Norman testified at Ramey's trial that both men fired shots — Lopez was shot four times, three in the back of the head.
