'That is crazy!': Trump's attorney general Todd Blanche spars with CNN's Dana Bash over the Alaska ballot lawsuit
Dana Bash asked whether President Trump might try to overturn the midterms, warning of a repeat of January 6th. Todd Blanche fired back: 'You are not being a real person!' Pressed on what law was broken, he replied: 'There could be a crime.' He refused to say whether Trump ordered the suit, and told CBS host Margaret Brennan her account of it was 'a lie'.
The lawsuit seeks to block certification if Senator Dan S Sullivan loses to Democrat Mary Peltola.
Rival candidate Daniel J Sullivan Jr is a 69-year-old retired schoolteacher.
Trump has already said of the lawsuit: 'I'm the one that said do it.'
