The festival sign victim was crushed to death as his widow says the truth 'will help us grieve'

Robert Guanco, 41, a pastor at Jesus Living Water Church in Eastbourne, died of blunt force trauma when a large wooden arch bearing the words 'Everything's Unmissable' collapsed onto several people at the Big Church Festival near Steyning, West Sussex, on August 28. His widow Isaeli said she went from planning their daughter's birthday party to organising his funeral within weeks. Horsham District Council is continuing a health and safety investigation, with a pre-inquest review set for March 9, 2027.
Isaeli Guanco said learning the truth about her husband's death would 'help us grieve and prevent other families going through the same thing.'
The festival livestream was abruptly cut at the moment the arch fell, injuring six others, four of whom needed hospital treatment.
Wellwishers have raised more than £243,000 on a GoFundMe page for Guanco's widow Isaeli and daughter Ellie, nearing a £250,000 target.
