'The gangs are laughing at us': Farage slams Belgian police who watched as migrants boarded a 'custom-made' Kurdish-flag dinghy

More than 20 migrants were filmed boarding a custom-made dinghy off De Panne beach, Belgium, at 3am on Thursday — the boat stitched in the red, white, green and gold of the Kurdish flag, a direct taunt from the gangs who dominate Channel trafficking. Belgian officers walked the shoreline and watched as the vessel was pushed out to sea without intervening. A witness at the scene said police could easily have slashed the dinghy to stop it.
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp warned that two weeks of calm seas lie ahead, with hundreds of crossings expected, as Labour's agreement with France on returning migrants has fallen apart.
Belgium had already logged 33 boat departures this year before Thursday's crossing, raising fears the country is becoming a new small boat launchpad alongside France.
Farage called it proof that continental authorities are 'just standing and watching' while gangs grow so brazen they brand their own vessels.
