The PM is to unveil a crackdown on 'headphone dodgers' as bus passengers face £100 fines for playing loud music

Prime Minister Andy Burnham will on Monday launch a campaign targeting antisocial behaviour on public transport, under the slogan 'share the carriage, not the noise'. New guidance will allow local transport authorities to issue fines of up to £100 to offenders. Vaping and littering are also covered.

Train passengers who play music aloud risk penalties of up to £1,000.

Burnham is bringing his pledge to give voters 'breathing space' into the train carriage.
