'The 'real heroes' are the survivors': Queen Camilla says talking about domestic abuse could end it forever

Camilla spoke with Zara McDermott, a revenge porn survivor, and told her: 'It's people like you who speak out.' Lady Lansdowne, Camilla's Queen's Companion, organised the summit at Marlborough College in Wiltshire. Jess Phillips MP outlined the government's target to cut violence against women and girls by half. Camilla described abuse as once a 'hush hush' taboo nobody discussed.

McDermott was targeted by revenge porn at 14 and again on Love Island in 2018.

Women's Institute members are being trained as contact points for abused Wiltshire women.
