'The Republicans' worst senator': Trump attacks Lisa Murkowski after she opposes the DOJ's Alaska election lawsuit
Donald Trump fired off a near-midnight Truth Social post branding Lisa Murkowski a 'DISGRACE to Alaska and our Country'. He claimed Democrats put retired teacher Daniel J. Sullivan Jr on the ballot to steal Senator Dan S. Sullivan's seat. Murkowski had said the Justice Department 'should never have filed' its case. The suit, which Trump says he ordered, seeks to block certification if Sullivan loses to Mary Peltola.
Trump called ranked-choice voting a 'TOTAL DEMOCRAT SCAM' and backed repeal Measure 2.
Attorney General Todd Blanche insists the lawsuit does not seek to stop certification.
Mary Peltola called the lawsuit 'a desperate attempt to silence Alaskans'.
