Michigan girl, 15, is killed and her 'inseparable' older sister fights for life after their car hits a tree

Jordyn Bigham was thrown from the car and died at the scene with the unnamed 16-year-old driver after it left West R Avenue in Texas Township at 3.20am on Sunday. Her sister Jada, 16, remains in critical condition after the vehicle caught fire. All five teens on board attended Mattawan High School. A family fundraiser says their mother is now 'mourning the loss of one daughter while standing by the hospital bed of another'.

Grandmother Christina Norris said of the sisters: 'Where there was one, there was both.'

Jada faces 'extensive medical treatments, surgeries, and ongoing care', her family warns.

Friend Liyra Fuller was also hurt, and a vigil was held in the school car park.
