Third boy, 16, is arrested after five teenagers were stabbed when gatecrashers climbed a fence into a Hampshire Halloween party
Park Road in Chandler's Ford, where cordons also extended to Valley Road on Sunday afternoon as Hampshire Police appealed on reference number 44260534624 for party guests who had not yet spoken to officers. The party's address was shared on Snapchat, drawing around 70 uninvited guests to a supervised birthday celebration at an £800,000 property, with a group of males climbing the garden fence before stabbing five sixth-form boys in an attack witnesses described as sudden and unprovoked.
One 17-year-old victim remains in a critical, life-threatening condition in hospital following the Chandler's Ford Halloween stabbing, as a third arrest brings the total number of suspects in custody to three. The gatecrashers climbed a wooden fence to get into the £800,000 Park Road property before attacking five guests across the garden and neighbouring streets. Four of the five victims, who were all aged 16 or 17, have since been discharged from hospital.
The party had been organised by a 17-year-old girl for a small circle of close friends, but around 100 people turned up after a nearby gathering was broken up.
The three boys in custody — two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old, from Southampton and Bristol — are all held on suspicion of attempted murder.
A witness told police: 'I saw someone pull up their shirt and say "I've been stabbed"' before he was found outside with someone compressing his wound.
