This Morning, Lorraine and Loose Women are all pulled off air after a power cut hits ITV's Covent Garden studio
Lorraine Kelly, 66, who had been looking forward to interviewing Sharleen Spiteri about Texas's new single and 30th anniversary tour before Wednesday's disruption.
A power cut overnight near ITV's Covent Garden studio knocked three of the channel's flagship morning shows off air, with Lorraine Kelly, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard all forced off schedule. Good Morning Britain hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls broke the news live, extending their own show by half an hour to fill the gap. ITV confirmed technicians were working to restore power, with This Morning expected to return around 11am.
Lorraine Kelly, 66, filmed herself in her car on the way to work, saying there had been 'a little bit of a hoo-ha' at the studio.
Cat Deeley was caught mid-hair-colouring session when the power failed, joking she had 'just been waterboarded.'
Loose Women was cancelled entirely for the day alongside Lorraine, with ITV pledging a return to normal scheduling 'as soon as possible.'
