Three cars are caught driving the wrong way on Teesside roads in a week after an A66 crash killed two officers

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested after their Renault Megane fled Cleveland Police, hit street furniture and went the wrong way down the A66. One admitted dangerous and disqualified driving at Teesside Magistrates' Court and will be sentenced in November. Chief Superintendent Paul Richardson warned drivers they will face the 'full force of the law'. He called the contraflow driving 'staggering'.
PC Matthew Blades, 37, and PC Tom Clough, 38, died in the August crash.
The second boy was bailed on suspicion of intending to supply class A drugs.
On 15 October a VW Passat drove against the traffic on the A19.
