Three cars are caught going the wrong way within a week near the A66 crash site where seven died

Two boys aged 16 were arrested after their Renault Megane fled Cleveland Police, hit street furniture and sped against traffic on the A66. One admitted dangerous and disqualified driving at Teesside Magistrates' Court and will be sentenced in November. His friend was bailed on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. Chief Superintendent Paul Richardson said: 'Staggeringly, this has included some driving contraflow on our busiest roads.'
PCs Matthew Blades and Tom Clough were among the seven killed on the A66 on August 22.
The Police Federation has warned that young people are 'baiting police officers' with dangerous driving.
A wider crackdown on organised crime since the August crash has now led to 50 arrests.
