Three men are arrested over the murder of a 'heart of gold' dad-of-two in a Sutton Coldfield pub car park

Outside the Beggars Bush pub on Chester Road, Ayden Cooper, 25, was fatally stabbed just before 2am on 11 October, dying where he fell. The venue had been full of birthday party guests when the attack occurred. Three suspects, aged 18 and 21, are being held in custody on suspicion of murder. Detectives have reviewed hours of CCTV footage and interviewed witnesses who were present.

His family described him as 'full of life and had a heart of gold'.

Det Ch Insp Samantha Lewis called the arrests 'a significant development' in the investigation.

Police continue to appeal for anyone with footage, 'no matter how insignificant', to come forward.
