Three men are jailed for 158 years each for murdering Australian brothers and their US friend on Mexico surf trip

Perth brothers Jake and Callum Robinson, 30 and 33, and American Carter Rhoad, 30, were shot in the head while camping near Ensenada in April 2024. Their bodies were dumped down a clifftop well and their truck was torched. Judge Raul Hernandez Arellano said the killers had time to think it through and went ahead anyway. Their defence team has signalled it will appeal.

Ringleader Jesús Gerardo, 'El Kekas', sneered at the surfers' pleas for their lives, his ex-girlfriend said.

Debra Robinson said what hurt most was that her sons 'were treated with such cruelty'.

'These men will never hurt anyone else again,' said Rhoad's mother, Page Rhoad.
