Three people are taken to hospital after a light aircraft crashes while coming in to land at Suffolk's Beccles Aerodrome

Emergency services raced to Beccles Aerodrome on the Suffolk-Norfolk border just before 12:10pm after a light aircraft crashed on approach to landing. The East of England Ambulance Service treated one person at the scene and discharged them, while three others were taken to James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth with minor injuries. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has been notified, and police have cordoned off part of the airfield.
Beccles Aerodrome is a small airfield near the market town of Beccles, used by private pilots and recreational flyers.
Police, fire crews, paramedics and an air ambulance all attended; the injuries are not believed to be serious.
An aerodrome spokesman said: 'The crew have now left the airfield; we hope that everyone involved is okay.'
