Tom Cruise has heaped praise on the Princess of Wales after meeting her at the London premiere of his new film 'Digger', calling her "stunning", "intelligent" and "fun". The Hollywood star, 64, told US TV show 'Extra' that Prince William "did well" choosing Kate as his wife. Cruise was also seen taking Kate's hand to help her down the stairs, repeating a gesture he made at the 'Top Gun: Maverick' premiere in 2022.

Cruise said of William and Kate: 'They're so charismatic and so elegant — that dress she was wearing... stunning. Way to go, smart choice.'

An extra who worked on the film described Cruise as "so nice, so kind" and a "consummate professional" who thanked crew after every take.
