Sir Tom Jones, who doctors have ordered to rest after flu forced him to cancel two US tour dates, has also revealed ITV axed him from The Voice UK ahead of its 2027 series.

Sir Tom Jones, 86, was struck down by flu mid-tour, forcing him to pull out of his Los Angeles Greek Theatre show hours before he was due on stage on Monday. His San Diego concert the following night was also scrapped on doctor's orders, and both dates have been rescheduled — San Diego to 3 November and Los Angeles to 4 November. His next planned show is at Yaamava' Theater in Highland, California on Thursday.

Jones told fans he had completed 20 US shows before the illness hit, calling the cancellation 'truly sorry' in an Instagram post.

The LA rescheduling means the tour will now wrap in Los Angeles on 4 November rather than at his previously planned San Francisco finale on 1 November.

Jones has dealt with a string of health setbacks in recent years, including viral laryngitis in 2022 and an upper respiratory infection in 2025, but has kept up a punishing global schedule at 86.
