Nigel Farage admitted at a press conference that Reform UK has no mechanism to stop members supporting Tommy Robinson, even after calling Robinson's harassment conviction "very wrong, very wrong indeed." Farage said people have different opinions and that liking a social media post does not make someone a "full-blown marcher" for a cause. Robinson, 43, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was convicted at Southwark Crown Court of two counts of harassment causing fear of violence and faces up to ten years in prison at his December 16 sentencing.
A jury of 10 to 2 found Robinson guilty after 11 hours and 25 minutes of deliberation, with the judge warning he is considering 'all options'.
Robinson sent investigators to find journalists Andrew Young and Jacob Dirnhuber's home addresses, then shared images of their homes with millions of followers, telling Dirnhuber 'I'll be knocking on your door.'
One post showing Dirnhuber outside his home attracted 4.8 million views on X; Dirnhuber was forced to move house entirely.
