Trans neo-Nazi teen who planned Hindu temple massacre is to receive hormone treatments in jail, judge rules

Alexandros Paporakis, a 19-year-old white supremacist who allegedly attempted to slaughter worshippers at a Hindu temple near Chicago, has been granted hormone treatments during pretrial detention following a judge's ruling. Colleagues contacted police after Paporakis distributed to them an eight-page manifesto headed 'Aurora Shooter's Manifesto' in which Indian, Jewish and Black people were described as 'subhumans'. Officers established that his car had been seen near the Aurora temple he is accused of targeting.
The plot was only thwarted because Paporakis's gun jammed — he subsequently rang a co-worker to say he had fled 'super fast' without being seen.
Paporakis, a Taco Bell cashier in Palatine, Illinois, faces felony counts of threatening terrorism and unlawful possession of weapons.
Prosecutors allege he told colleagues that the Sunday on which he planned to carry out the attack would be 'a special day'.
