Trans protesters rush red carpet at Harry Potter premiere to target JK Rowling's gender views

Trans rights activists stormed the red carpet at the London premiere of 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child', lying down on it in protest against JK Rowling's stance on gender. The demonstrators were photographed during the event at the Palace Theatre, disrupting the gala attended by celebrities including Richard Arnold and Vanessa Feltz.
Activists lay on the red carpet before the show began, forcing attendees to step around them.
The protest targeted Rowling, whose outspoken views on transgender issues have made her one of the most controversial figures in the culture war debate.
Rowling was not reported to be in attendance at the premiere.
