British woman, 31, is stabbed to death at Rosenheim railway station in Bavaria as German man is arrested

A British woman aged 31 was fatally stabbed at Rosenheim railway station in Bavaria in the early hours of Sunday morning. Emergency services received the call at around 12.50am and rushed her to hospital, but she died from her severe injuries. A 27-year-old German man from Fürstenfeldbruck, west of Munich, was arrested at the scene immediately after the attack.

Bavarian Police have opened a murder investigation and are calling for witnesses who observed any argument or confrontation at the station.

Rosenheim is currently holding its annual Autumn Festival, which attracts more than a million visitors, and is a major transit point for travellers moving between Germany and Austria.
