Trump airs 'final battle' doomsday ad during NFL games at taxpayer expense weeks before midterms

A government-funded ad featuring President Donald Trump aired during NFL games on Sunday, warning viewers of a "final battle" for America and urging them to help "cast out the communists, Marxists and fascists." The ad, which states it was "paid for by the U.S. government," is nearly identical to a Trump 2024 campaign video and aired just weeks before the midterm elections. The White House insists the commercials "are very clearly not campaign ads," comparing them to public service announcements about Medicare or Covid vaccines. Critics argue taxpayers are footing the bill for what amounts to partisan electioneering.

The ad features Trump walking down a hallway to suspenseful music, vowing to "liberate America from these villains once and for all."
