Trump backs plan to give Jewish Canadians an expedited legal pathway into the US to escape antisemitism

More than 2,000 Jewish Canadians have expressed interest in relocating to the United States, and Trump has amplified the effort by sharing the proposal with his millions of Truth Social followers. The National Association of Christian Lawmakers is urging the White House to direct the State Department and Department of Homeland Security to establish fast-tracked legal routes for Jewish Canadians who can demonstrate fears for their safety. Canadian PM Mark Carney has acknowledged that Jews make up just 1% of Canada's population yet account for two-thirds of all religious hate crimes recorded in the country.

NACL founder Jason Rapert, speaking from Israel, called on Trump to challenge Carney directly over what he described as 'roadblocks' blocking Jewish Canadians from relocating quickly.

Rapert said 'Canada should be embarrassed and ashamed' of the perceived obstacles and vowed to 'rally leaders to take a stand' over the crisis.

The NACL's formal request asks the administration to extend protection to Jewish Canadians and their close relatives who can show they face credible persecution.
