'Are you a 'sick person'?': Trump snaps at White House reporter in Oval Office clash as Vance piles in online
A White House reporter asked President Donald Trump why anyone would use the new scheme when the False Claims Act already pays up to 25 per cent. Trump struggled to answer, and Vice President JD Vance stepped in to call the questioning dishonest. Vance later branded the reporter an 'imbecile' on X. The $25 million programme offers rewards of up to $30,000 for exposing fraud.
Trump earlier warned the reporter: 'I don't know who the hell you are, but you better be careful.'
The reporter shot back at Vance: 'At least have the guts to tag my account.'
The reporter shrugged off the attack: 'Sticks and stones, I'm just doing my job.'
