Trump brands Lisa Murkowski the 'Republicans' worst senator' after she opposed the Alaska election lawsuit he ordered
President Donald Trump called Murkowski a 'DISGRACE to Alaska and our Country' on Truth Social and branded ranked-choice voting a 'TOTAL DEMOCRAT SCAM'. Murkowski had said the Justice Department 'should never have filed' its case. The suit seeks to block certification if Senator Dan S. Sullivan narrowly loses to Democrat Mary Peltola. Trump has admitted: 'I'm the one that said do it.'
The lawsuit claims retired teacher Daniel J. Sullivan is running only to confuse voters.
Attorney General Todd Blanche insists the department is not trying to stop certification.
Peltola dismissed the lawsuit as 'a very desperate attempt to cling to power'.
