Trump brands Zelensky 'not a good guy' and says he finds Putin EASIER to deal with after refinery ceasefire collapses
President Trump called Ukraine's resumed strikes on Russian oil refineries 'a disgrace' in a Newsmax interview, blaming Zelensky for driving up global energy prices. Trump declared he finds Zelensky 'more difficult to deal with than Putin' and said 'I'm not a big fan of Zelensky — they've destroyed that country.' The ceasefire Trump announced last Sunday collapsed after Russia launched more than 100 attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure while Kyiv held off, prompting Zelensky to say 'the block is out — we're done.'
Zelensky struck a Rosneft refinery southeast of Moscow hours after declaring the energy truce dead, sparking a fire.
Trump claimed Ukrainians want a deal 'but they're not going to do it with him,' suggesting Zelensky should be replaced.
Trump has been accused of 'treason' by critics for openly defending Putin while condemning the leader of a country under invasion.
