Trump deflects on endorsing JD Vance for 2028 after his vice president admits 'I don't know, man'
Standing beside Vance in the Oval Office on Tuesday, President Donald Trump called him 'a very talented person' but said: 'I don't think we've ever talked about it.' Trump added 'It's early' and said the midterms come first. In a Monday interview with Mark Halperin, Vance floated a scenario where Trump lets the race 'play out'. Vance also said he had not raised a run with Trump.
Vance's Polymarket odds of winning the nomination have slid from 53 percent to 43.8 percent.
Vance said there was 'of course' a chance he won't run, citing his four children.
