Trump Demands Cut of Ex-Lawyer Alina Habba's $50M Deal and Tried to Block the Payment

Donald Trump has escalated his attacks on Alina Habba Mildon, 42, his former personal lawyer and briefly US attorney in New Jersey, telling aides she should direct a portion of her four-year deal worth $10 million annually plus bonuses with Concord Partners — a firm founded by the daughter of Venezuelan billionaire Julio Herrera Velutini — toward his future presidential library or another Trump-linked entity, after the arrangement emerged amid his pardon of Herrera just two weeks into her Justice Department tenure.

Trump told reporters he had tried to stop the payment: 'I said I don't want her paid.'

He told aides that Habba ought to direct part of the $50m toward his future presidential library or another Trump-linked entity.

Habba insists the timing is coincidence, saying her employment was 'vetted and disclosed to the DOJ' and had nothing to do with securing the pardon.
