Trump gushes over male candidates' looks at Kentucky rally, calling a Navy SEAL hopeful a 'beautiful guy'

President Donald Trump told the Highland Heights crowd he had 'examined' Ohio Senator Jon Husted's body from head to toe, adding 'he's got a jawline'. A day earlier in Dalton, Georgia, he called Senate nominee Mike Collins a 'good-looking man' and 'all man'. Ed Gallrein, the former Navy SEAL he praised, ousted Trump critic Thomas Massie in May's primary. Critics say Trump should be selling his plans on the Iran war and rising prices instead.

Trump called Gallrein 'central casting', a favourite phrase for men whose looks he admires.

An Economist/YouGov poll showed Trump's net approval among men dropping eight points, to minus 19.

At the same rally, he tied a $100 million Kentucky drug plant investment to a GOP win.
