Trump is ordered to face BBC lawyers under oath by 11 December or risk losing his $10bn lawsuit

Trump cancelled his 16 October deposition citing 'matters of national importance', yet spent that day at a rally in Dalton, Georgia, and a Mar-a-Lago fundraiser. His lawyers offered dates in January instead. Magistrate Judge Enjoliqué Lett ruled in Miami that the seven-hour session will be videotaped. BBC lawyer Charles Tobin said Trump 'prioritized' party politics over the deposition.

Tobin told the court Trump's side has 'produced absolutely nothing of any substance'.

The BBC argues the Panorama documentary never aired in Florida or anywhere in the US.

Trump's team branded the broadcaster the 'formerly respected and now disgraced BBC'.
