Trump offers $1m reward to anyone whose 'voter fraud' tip leads to a conviction, eight days before the midterms
Asked whether it would run the scheme, the Justice Department replied: 'We defer to the White House.' The offer covers past elections as well as the 3 November vote. Speaking beside Air Force One, Trump said: 'We give you, that person, a million dollars.'
The Justice Department says it charged 113 people in 20 states over seven weeks.
A separate $25m federal fraud whistleblower scheme was unveiled less than a week ago.
Texas's identical 2020 bounty paid a Democrat just $25,000 for exposing a Republican double-voter.
