'Trash Island': Trump shares photos of Washington golf course for the judge whose family is 'freaking out' over death threats
President Donald Trump posted the images on Truth Social on Monday night, calling East Potomac Golf Links 'broken and dilapidated' and the lawsuit against his plans 'frivolous'. Hours earlier he had branded US District Judge Ana Reyes 'a crazed lunatic' who 'may be insane'. Reyes told a six-hour hearing that death threats 'over a golf course' were not what the founders intended. She has yet to rule on halting work.
More than 400 trees were felled on the course on 10 October with only hours of notice.
Reyes dismissed officials' testimony: 'There is no universe in which all of this coincidentally happened.'
She rejected Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward's demand that she step aside over alleged bias.
