Trump praises supporter who punched a heckler at his South Carolina rally and likens him to Evander Holyfield
A protester is escorted from the rally as Trump warned supporters that hecklers disrupting his events in North Carolina — and in Texas, Tennessee and Alaska — would be treated "very, very rough.
The punch was thrown at the precise moment President Donald Trump was pledging to remove 'career criminals' from the country. A grey-haired man wearing a red cap and glasses raised his hands and stepped back while police removed the protester from the venue. Trump described the heckler as a 'lunatic' and 'a very unattractive looking guy'. Holyfield himself was a guest speaker at the Pendleton rally for Senator Darline Graham.
At least 12 hecklers disrupted the rally, and two were struck on camera by rally-goers.
Trump claimed the protesters were 'all paid' and 'want to destroy our country'.
