Trump refuses to blame Putin for starting the Ukraine war, saying 'I know the details' and will release them

Donald Trump made the remarks leaving the White House for a Georgia rally, adding: 'I don't care anything except for one. I want that war ended.' He again rounded on Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him 'more difficult to deal with than Putin'. Trump denied responsibility for Kyiv losing Starlink access. Italy's defence minister Guido Crosetto called curbing Ukraine's satellite and intelligence support a 'major mistake'.

Trump agreed a deal with Putin to buy Russian diesel, blaming Kyiv's refinery strikes for fuel prices.

Zelensky thanked Europe's 'real leaders' and said the diesel deal puts money in 'Putin's pocket'.

Analysts found Ukraine's refinery strikes had no visible impact on US diesel prices.
