Trump's Alaska promises meet voter 'fatigue' as $26 gas threatens to cost Republicans a key Senate seat

Democrat Mary Peltola is pinning soaring Alaskan prices on Senator Dan Sullivan and linking them to Trump's war against Iran. A store in the village of Shungnak charged $26.82 a gallon for regular gas in August. Trump rallied for Sullivan in Wasilla on 13 October, pledging pipeline billions and rural broadband cash. Strategist Scott Kendall said Alaskans have been promised the gas line 'since the 80s'.
Trump even offered on-stage pardons to two mechanics who broke federal clean air rules.
Peltola posted a rural store's prices: paper plates at $53.99 and paper towels at $40.99.
