Trump's 'border czar' Homan says Ilhan Omar could 'of course' be stripped of citizenship and deported after home raid
Ilhan Omar and Sahra Noor. Federal investigators have subpoenaed Sahra Noor as part of a criminal fraud probe into Omar's immigration paperwork.
Tom Homan described investigators as having a 'strong case' against the Minnesota congresswoman. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin confirmed that 'multiple warrants' were served on the same day as the raid. A family text found on the phone of her sister, Sahra Noor, reportedly helped agents obtain the search warrant. Omar has not been charged, denies any wrongdoing and claims the investigation is politically motivated.
House Majority Whip Tom Emmer said that if the allegations are borne out, she should 'go back to where she came from'.
Barack Obama accused the Trump administration of targeting Omar in retaliation for her criticism of the president.
Agents reportedly went through Omar's rubbish to collect DNA ahead of the raid, with the gathered evidence now set to be presented to a Minnesota grand jury.
