Tom Homan told Fox News that investigators have 'a strong case' against the Minnesota Democrat, whose Washington home was raided on 12 October. The investigation centres on allegations that her birth year was falsified — either by Omar or her father — to obtain citizenship. Had she been 18 rather than 17, automatic qualification would not have applied. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin expects the case to go to a grand jury.

Mullin revealed that 'multiple warrants' were served on the same day as the raid.
