Trump's doctor dismisses health rumours following the president's renewed attacks on the Reuters reporter who questioned his health

White House physician the doctor issued a statement dismissing rumours about President Trump's health after Trump spent Saturday attacking Reuters correspondent Jacob Bogage on Truth Social for daring to ask whether a cancelled rally trip was health-related. The doctor said Trump is in excellent health and fit to carry out his duties. The row erupted Thursday when Bogage asked Trump about cancelled Kansas and Iowa rallies, prompting Trump to snap back: "You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell."

Trump has held 25 rallies across 19 states since October 1 as Republicans fight to hold Congress in Tuesday's midterms.

The RNC initially scrapped the Kansas and Iowa rallies in favour of tele-rallies reaching voters across nearly 20 states, but reversed the decision within a day.

Trump will attend both rallies on Sunday, staging back-to-back appearances in Kansas and Iowa despite the health-rumour row.
