Trump's DOJ takes 'Decoy Dan' fight to appeals court after a judge threw out its bid to block Alaska's Senate result

Democrat Haley Stevens announced her endorsement of Republican Mike Rogers for the Michigan Senate seat on Sunday, two days before Tuesday's midterms, after Abdul El-Sayed told her she was "no longer welcome" on his campaign over a bitter row about Israel. Stevens, who narrowly lost to El-Sayed in August's Democratic primary, had refused to campaign with him after demanding he disavow an outside group's ad linking rising prices to US support for Israel's war in Gaza. Chuck Schumer called the move a "despicable betrayal," while Trump called it "BIG" and invited her to join the Republican Party.
The Michigan Senate race is seen as one of the most critical contests for Democrats hoping to retake control of Congress.
Trump called El-Sayed a "jihadist lunatic" and a "Muslim Brotherhood guy" at an Iowa rally, saying Stevens was "in danger" for the endorsement switch.
Speaker Mike Johnson also praised Stevens, telling her she was "courageous" and warning of a "heightened threat environment" after she and her fiancé received threats.
