Trump's Justice Department sends target letters to around 20 Democrats over the alleged 'Decoy Dan' Senate scheme in Alaska
Marc Elias, a prominent election lawyer, and at least one official at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee are among around 20 recipients of letters warning they face possible donor fraud and conspiracy charges. The mysterious 'Decoy Dan' — retired teacher Daniel J. Sullivan — was missing on Election Day, his voicemail playing a Halloween message. Trump called the scheme "a total fraud" and "a criminal act" in a Fox News interview. Alaska's Republican governor has separately ordered his own investigation into Democratic candidate Mary Peltola's campaign over the plot.
