Trump's new press secretary Katie Zacharia did not pass the bar exam despite president calling her 'an attorney'
Laughter erupts in the briefing room as Katie Zacharia cuts short her debut White House press conference after accepting just three pre-selected questions in 14 minutes.Three bikini photographs deleted from Katie Zacharia's Instagram account — she had previously condemned women who wear "bikini-style gym attire" as crossing a line.
Katie Zacharia, Trump's newly installed White House press secretary, did not pass the California bar exam after graduating from Pepperdine law school in 2011 — yet Trump described her as "an attorney" when announcing her appointment. The State Bar of California has no record of Zacharia being licensed to practise law in any US state. A watchdog group, Campaign for Accountability, has filed a complaint with the California State Bar and asked for the matter to be referred to prosecutors.
Zacharia initially told reporters she passed the bar exam 'when I moved to China', before later claiming she had misheard the question over the noise of Marine One.
White House insiders reportedly privately called her debut briefing a 'dumpster fire' and a 'train wreck', with one senior communications official reportedly texting that it was 'terrible on so many different levels'.
Zacharia has scrubbed bikini photos from her Instagram since taking the role — despite previously slamming women who wear 'bikini-style gym attire' as crossing a line.
