Trump's 'peace for all eternity' pledge lies in ruins as Israel kills 1,450 Palestinians since Gaza ceasefire

Israeli forces have struck Gaza on an almost daily basis for a year since Trump declared the war over, with approximately 1,450 Palestinians killed since the ceasefire of October 2025 — while Israel now controls roughly 70 percent of the territory, well above the 53 percent the truce allows.

Three days after the deal was signed, Hamas released the 20 hostages who remained alive, and has launched no rockets at Israel since, though the group retains its weapons.

With a close election looming, Netanyahu has pledged to eliminate everyone involved in the October 7 attacks, saying 4,000 of 6,000 'Hamas monsters' have now been killed.

A Gaza doctor describes civilians sheltering in tattered tents without sewage, struck at random — 'at the wrong place at the wrong time'.
