Trump's press secretary was mid-interview at her West Wing desk when she was forced out after five days
Laughter erupts in the briefing room as Katie Zacharia cuts short her debut White House press conference after accepting just three pre-selected questions in 14 minutes.
Katie Zacharia, 42, was called away by senior adviser Jason Miller at 1pm on Friday and never returned to the interview. Minutes later, President Donald Trump told reporters on the South Lawn: 'Honestly, if I were you, I'd reconsider.' Her only briefing lasted 14 minutes and took three questions. She also admitted she never passed the bar exam despite Trump calling her 'an attorney'.
Trump insisted she wasn't fired: 'She's been brutalized by the media.'
Zacharia hailed Trump as 'kind, wonderful, gracious' in a social media post after her exit.
